MainMessage was invented by John Cullinane, a software industry pioneer, while building the world’s first successful software products company at a time when industry experts said that it couldn’t be done. He learned that there was no other way of extracting product messages from groups of very bright, often very opinionated, technicians and sales types that worked. MainMessage proved to be the secret weapon because, with it, the company was able to re-position its products, every two years for fourteen years, with a new vision and selling message, and keep the competition on the defensive, including such formidable competitors such as IBM. As a result, Cullinane Corporation was the first software products company to have an IPO and to reach a billion dollars in valuation. In the political arena, Nancy Pelosi recently used the MainMessage process to become Speaker of the House of Representatives when many thought it wasn’t possible. Over the years John Cullinane has been used the MainMessage process to help a wide variety of organizations and people with their vision and messaging problems, on a pro bono basis. Now, for the first time, MainMessage is being made available as a service, along with the expert guidance of MainMessage Facilitators. The goal is to help others succeed by helping them create powerful messages that will enable them to sell their ideas, products, services, candidates, etc., more effectively. A good main message will, literally, mean the difference between success and failure.
