Problem:  How to win a tough election when you are a longshot
Nancy Krasnes was the top vote-getter in the Beverly Hills City Council race against two incumbents and three challengers. Her victory drove the current Mayor from office. It was a major upset and a fantastic victory for Nancy. It was also a resounding victory for Mike Meurer, who had a real opportunity to test his own Comprehensive Message Plan for political campaigns. Mike started with an easel session to generate Nancy's six point message using the Cullinane MainMessage Process. From this message, he extracted a six-point campaign strategy that was encapsulated in the Meurer CMP Campaign Blueprint. This strategy became their Bible for the campaign, driving field strategy, advertising, direct mail, viral campaign, fundraising and budgeting.

All the leading politicos in the City in all three local newspapers wrote about the incredibly powerful campaign Nancy ran by having a plan and a six point message and sticking with them from day one. Here is a sample comment:

Beverly Hills Weekly, Issue 387 ― March 1 - 7, 2007 (page 13)
Krasne’s initial list of endorsers was thin and not particularly impressive, comprised largely of the usual Council dissenters. However she made up for this with an extremely well-run, well-articulated campaign, led by outside consultant Mike Meurer. Krasne’s ads and mailers looked the sharpest of the four and had a clear, coherent 6-point message that she hammered home repeatedly. (http://www.bhweekly.com/)
