Paul Gillen is arguably the leading expert on social media in the United States. As such he is a noted author, lecturer, and consultant on the topic. Previously, he was Editor of Computerworld. I explained the concept of a main message to him while playing golf. He grasped it immediately and changed his website to focus on the key social media concerns of those visiting his website, and how he addressed them. The net result is that, for the first time, he has noticed a significant uptick in new business from his website (www.gillen.com).
